Let us introduce a work called Popedemia. Artwork was created on the occasion of Pope Francis' visit to Slovakia on September 12-15, 2021 - at a time of unceasing pandemic, which significantly affected and affected the course of the world and the lives of many of us. The visit of the head of the church - an important event for many - served as a perfect stimulus to reflect on the current state of our country in these difficult times.
The project Popedemia, representing the need for artistic expression and mood processing in society into a visual work, depicts the Pope dressed in "mourning" clothing in black, following the "apocalypse of the landscape from the Tatras to the Danube". Months of uncertainty, difficult tests of perseverance and patience, or absurd wars and conflicts on all fronts across society have left heavy and painful wounds on the flag - one of the constitutional symbols. Bloody stigmas - traces of injuries across the torsion (symbol of stability) of a mysterious, almost occult silhouette of a saint embodying hope, love and salvation remind us that none of the ideas, decisions or realization of magnificent ideas of temporary giants remains without consequences. History confirms that many of them persist for ages (till the end of the time)…
